ARTEK HISTORY

ARTEK, spaces that communicate®, has been designing and building projects at national and international levels since 1990. A solid team of professionals in the fields of architecture, industrial design, interior design and communication, together with the application of management techniques under ISO 9001 standards, allows us to address high-complexity global projects while maintaining the quality standards, efficiency and creativity.

Since 1990

We work from the design perspective in order to improve our clients’ communication and institutional image. We take care of every detail so as to create suitable brand positioning, essential for the success of any organization.
At ARTEK we understand the challenge of successfully managing the presence of your company in events and exhibitions, and the importance of its perfect integration with the marketing and communication strategy.

ARTEK OVER THE WORLD

Chronology of our international expansion

SPACES THAT COMMUNICATE

Orphan of Spanish word, the stand sparkles with increasing frequency among the younger architectural chores. It has not the fateful assignment of enduring, hence neither does it suffer from decay: it boasts dynamic force. From the very moment of its conception, it renounces to the vain pretense of eternity. Born to display and be display. It was built to be crossed. Its fate is inexorable: its tempo bears a hastened rhythm; but the shortness of its lifespan is rewarded by the intensity of its presence. Far from being the Cinderella of architectural typologies, it was granted the privilege of inciting endless movement. It is histrionic, taking nourishment from glances, opening to desire, offering itself, promising. At the edge of paradigmatic ties, it claims the right

to be carelessly unconcerned about technical, material or composition precepts, emerging from the alchemy of the act of experimenting, innovating, improvising. Nevertheless, it is not a creature of a violent collision against the given world. Its reality –pragmatic and aesthetic- not only blends with challenge and seduction, but also with the humble subordination to effectiveness and situational restraints. Its festive life cannot evade the paradox of generating usefulness. And though architectural records scarcely devote space to it, the stand –with its restless and frantic experience– prompts changes in future works, forever indebted to its fleeting existence.

Artek turns
30 years old.
Spaces that communicate.
A book that compiles them.

30 years. Close to 3,000 projects. One book.

Artek presents Artek • 30 years, a testament to the history of the studio, from its origins, at the time when its partners were pursuing their university courses, until today. Throughout almost 300 pages, Artek • 30 years complies the most important and memorable projects that the team has developed, reviews its international expansion, and reflects upon the intellectual and academic legacy of the studio that was a pioneer in the approach of stand architecture and gave an unprecedented boost to the sector at both national and regional levels.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Artek in the classrooms

Since 1990, members of Artek have been taking part in Chairs at Buenos Aires University and in private courses where they have gained academic experience in the field of architecture, particularly in the field of stands.

As a result, the extracurricular subject “Stands, spaces that communicate” has been delivered at Buenos Aires University since 2000. Its professors are Carlos Marinic, architect, and Luciano Buono, architect. These academic experiences allow us to theorize about our work, which in turn nourishes the field of practice.

ARTEK CONCEPT

MISION

To be a company capable of generating and developing architectural and design works, adapting to the market needs at national and international levels, keeping our commitment to the profession and the values that we acquired during our university training.
To be one of the best companies in our segment, keeping our daily zeal to reach new goals supported by human capital and adding the necessary technological changes to achieve such goals.

VISION

To expand the geographical scope of our services by strengthening the current ones through teamwork, taking into account our staff’s well-being and open communication, while applying constant improvement methodologies and technological innovations, and being strongly client-oriented.

VALUES

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are a company responsibly committed to ecology, helping to preserve our environment through the use of noble, local and mostly recycled materials.

SUSTAINABILITY

We apply sustainability policies through two fundamental actions:
- In the choice of materials that can be re-used in successive stands and in the choice of standard materials, such as lighting, floors, furniture or steel structures that return to the work circuit.
- By creating more work, with the subsequent responsibility of keeping the jobs in this labour sector. Regarding other materials derived from singular morphologies that cannot be recycled in this labour sector, in general by-products of "mdf" wood, Artek has agreements with NGOs that give these materials, in each case, an appropriate use in accordance with our advice.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Artek we are committed to the welfare of human capital through yoga practices, training and good nutrition.
ORGANIC FOOD

Under Santiago’s care, vegetables are sown and grown in our Organic Garden, and Carmen takes care of our daily meals by preparing balanced dishes.

At Artek we are committed to the welfare of human capital through yoga practices, training and good nutrition.
YOGA

When mind and body are in balance and harmony, people feel better, relationships are enriched and the working team gets closer together, thus achieving better results.

TRAINING

Giving everyone the same chance to grow and develop. Training to be at cutting-edge levels and optimizing our performance.
